VOCABLES OF THE DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES OF OUR SECTOR

From Filtext we have elaborated a glossary of terms of the different industrial processes that encompass our sector. Our goal is to familiarize you with them and solve any doubts.

 

  • External machinery: We denominate machinery to the set of machines that are used for a certain purpose. The external machinery refers to the set of machines that do not belong to the company (in the case of Filtext, it belongs to its customers).
  • Manipulation: It is the action of operating with hands or with an instrument, intervening with skillful means to distort reality at the service of particular interests.

  • Industrial assemblies: Process in which each piece is placed in its final position in a structure. These pieces can be of different materials. Different industrial machines and equipment are used to carry out industrial assemblies.
  • Joints: hey constitute the connecting element section by section in the pipes, it is therefore a fundamental element, a good pipeline would not be useful, if there is not a total sealing in the joints or joints.
  • Assembly: Union of several elements, especially pieces of wood, so that they fit together perfectly, usually making part of one enter into another.
  • Verification: It is the confirmation that something is adequate under some requirements. In certain companies, it consists of making production records and verifications, in order to reach objectives imposed in a certain time.
  • Clasification: refers to the action of organizing or placing a product according to a certain directive.
  • Labeling: Action and effect that consists of labeling something or placing the label on a thing (product).
  • Packaging*: The packaging is a container or wrap that contains products temporarily. Mainly to group units of a product thinking about its handling, transport and storage.
  • Turnkey: It is called turnkey engineering works where engineers and builders are the same entity, leaving in only two the number of agents, being the promoter and the agent those involved in the work.

Extra terms:

  • Packaging: Is the technology of inclusion or protection of products for distribution, storage and sale.
  • Shrink: Pack with a transparent film that retracts and adjusts to the shape of the package.
  • Item: Quantity of a merchandise that is delivered, sent or received at one time.
